Come, Holy Spirit.
Open my eyes that I may see, my ears that I may hear, and my heart that I may understand. Lead me into all truth, just as Jesus promised. Quiet the noise outside and within me, and teach me to recognize Your voice.
Lord, You spoke, and the heavens were formed. You created the stars and planets, the oceans and the land, every living thing, and finally, in Your own image, You created me. You know every star by name—and You know my name. You knit me together. I am wonderfully made, fully known, and deeply loved.
Before I ever sought You, You sought me. Before I could do anything to earn Your love, You loved me. You have adopted me as Your child, and You invite me to call You Abba, Father.
You, Jesus, were in the beginning. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
You, the God who created the universe, walked among us. You walked upon the water. You spoke, and the winds and waves became still. You showed us that nothing is beyond Your authority—and nothing is beyond Your reach.
Yet, on the threshold of the cross, knowing the suffering that awaited You, You humbled Yourself.
You rose from the table, laid aside Your outer garment, wrapped a towel around Yourself, poured water into a basin, and knelt before Your disciples. The Lord of heaven and earth washed filthy feet.
You, who had every right to be served, chose to serve.
And You told us, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” (John 13:15)
But Lord, do not let me hear this only as a command to try harder. Let me see it as an invitation to rely on You.
For You have not left me to live a servant life in my own strength. You have given me Your Holy Spirit. So, Holy Spirit, fill me.
Fill me with Your peace, wisdom, courage, joy, strength, and love. Let Your presence be more real to me than my fears, my failures, and my circumstances. Rapha, the Lord who Heals, heal me in every way that I may use my towel to wash and serve as well.
Teach me to abide in Christ—to remain in Him, to draw my life from Him, and to bear fruit not through striving, but through staying connected to the Vine.
When I am weary, remind me that I do not have to carry everything myself.
When I am afraid, remind me that You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
When I feel inadequate, remind me that Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness.
When I am uncertain, remind me that You are with me.
When I am discouraged, remind me that I am Your precious child.
Let me live from the security of knowing I am loved—not because I perform perfectly, but because I belong to You.
Let me walk in the power of Your Spirit.
Let me rest in the peace of Your presence.
Let me receive the comfort of Your grace.
Let me live abundantly from Your love.
And when I stumble, remind me that I am still Your child. When I fall short, draw me back—not with shame, but with grace. When I forget who I am, whisper again to my heart:
You are Mine.
You are loved.
You are not alone.
My Spirit lives in you.
My grace is sufficient for you.
My power is at work within you.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Teach me. Fill me. Lead me.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.

Pray Without Ceasing
Pray without ceasing
Perhaps isn’t a stern request
Is not a reprimand
Judgment
Or test
What if it’s an acknowledgement
To the spirit that’s been made
Alive by the One
Who made a way
A new way
A gift into
A portal
To see
The possibility
Of a spirit alive
Who can constantly pray:
Can plead
Feel deeply
Fast
Proclaim physically
With all of your being
Can bleed
Ache
Birth
Make
The tears
That He hears
Those which He bottles up
The record
He does keep.
The whole being
Praying
Pleading
For change
From dawn
Until dusk
With intention
Never giving up
Never giving in
Each bad habit
A deep bodily groan
To stop
Go the opposite direction
To start again
To be made new
Creating transformation
From the heart
Consider this:
Your gut instincts
Your dreams
Plans
Emotions
Stewing thoughts
All submitted to the King
All counting
Creating
Requests
That move His heart
Responding
Shifting
Changing
His mind even
All of it prayer
Without ceasing
