Elizabeth Philyaw has been counseling individuals, (primarily children and teens) for over 15 years. As she was teaching her own children in coping skills, she noticed a lack of enjoyable children’s books that teach coping skills. So she decided to write her own! It is her hope and goal that this book (hopefully books plural) will give parents a much needed tool and help children learn and practice appropriate coping skills from a young age.
Elizabeth lives in Central Illinois with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading—both for herself and to her children, homeschooling, coaching soccer, teaching Sunday school, hiking, playing in the creek, playing at the park, going on picnics, doing arts and crafts with her children, and having adventures of all sorts. She has her Master's degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She enjoys her job as a therapist and feels blessed to be able to speak into people's lives. Her first book is coming our very soon!
