Anna Schwenk has experience as a mental health and school counselor, a social and emotional learning teacher, and is an avid reader of children’s books. She started watercoloring as an elementary school student. Her favorite flower is chamomile. Anna lives in Colorado and enjoys hiking, especially during wildflower season.

Flower Makes Friends is a book about learning to wait for the right friends to help children establish positive relationships and empathy. Set in the Colorado Rockies, the story includes insects, animals, and flowers native to Colorado.
